Sam Brown Named Chairman of Nevada Faith & Freedom Coalition
Statewide Non-Profit Dedicated To Civic and Charitable Participation To Improve the Lives of All Nevadans
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (November 15, 2022) —The Nevada Faith & Freedom Coalition, a leading statewide non-profit organization dedicated to educating and mobilizing people of faith, advancing individual liberty, helping those in need, protecting life, and building strong bonds within Nevada communities, today announced that Sam Brown has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Sam Brown was a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in 2022 and medically retired from the U.S. Army as a Captain in September 2011 after more than five years of active-duty service.
“Sam is the definition of servant-leader, and we are honored that he has chosen to lead the Nevada Faith & Freedom Coalition as we work to educate, equip, and mobilize Nevadans of all faiths,” said Tim Head, Executive Director of the national Faith & Freedom Coalition.
As a part of its grassroots voter education campaign aimed at galvanizing faith-based voters ahead of the 2022 midterm election, Faith & Freedom Coalition canvassers made over 250,000 personal home visits in Nevada with its election voter guides. In addition to the home visits, the organization reached Nevada voters through 153,662 mailings, 364,826 peer-to-peer text messages, 16,534 phone calls, and distributed 39,755 voter guides to nearly 150 churches across the state.
The Nevada Faith and Freedom Coalition was established earlier this year to bring together the Nevada Faith community — comprised of different religions and denominations — to educate and inform people at the grassroots/community level about timely public policy issues and encourage civic and charitable participation to improve the lives of all Nevadans.
“I’m honored to take on a leadership role with the Nevada Faith & Freedom Coalition, through which we will continue our mission of public service and being a voice for all Nevadans on the critical issues facing our state,” said Brown. “We are committed to working alongside other service organizations, community leaders, and elected officials to help build stronger communities throughout Nevada.”
Sam and his wife, Amy, and their three children live in Reno and successfully established and sold a business providing critical pharmaceutical services to Veteran’s Affairs patients. They now operate a successful business consulting firm in Reno. Sam graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point. and earned his MBA (Master of Business Administration) from Southern Methodist University.
